Terms of use

Using scan365pro.ink means accepting these terms. They are brief because the site does one thing: publish information.

What Scan 365 Pro is

An independent publication of reviews, comparisons and guides about network troubleshooting software. We sell nothing, resell nothing and distribute nothing, and there is no software on our servers. Every product name and trademark stays with whoever owns it; mentioning one here signals no partnership with, or approval by, that owner.

Applying our procedures

The guides describe traces, sweeps, throughput tests and packet captures for networks and hosts you administer, or have explicit written permission to test. You are responsible for having that authority before you run anything, for respecting the acceptable-use policies of your provider and employer, and for handling any captured data lawfully. Testing or capturing traffic on networks without permission may be illegal where you are.

Some procedures — a UDP throughput test at a high bitrate, a fast range sweep, a capture on a busy server — can affect production traffic. Schedule them sensibly and follow your own change-control process.

No warranty

We research carefully and correct errors when we find them, but software, prices and licences change. Everything here is general information provided as is, with no warranty that it is complete, current or suitable for your environment. Confirm details in the vendor’s documentation before buying or deploying anything.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law permits, neither Scan 365 Pro nor its editor is liable for any loss that follows from relying on these pages, from running software made by others, or from visiting the outside sites our links lead to. Liability that the law does not allow anyone to exclude is left untouched.

Links

Vendor links open websites we do not control, with their own terms, content and pricing.

Our content

The text and original graphics on this site belong to Scan 365 Pro. Quote a short passage with a link back if it helps you; copying entire pages elsewhere is not allowed. Each product screenshot remains the property of the source named in its caption.

Changes and contact

We revise these terms from time to time, and the date above marks the most recent pass. Anything unclear? Write to editor@scan365pro.ink.
